'Prince Not-So-Charming'
Pen&ink combined with photoshop

A twist on the classic 'The Little Mermaid' where it is revealed that the Prince that the mermaid had sacrificed everything for has now fallen in love with the princess (hense the term Not-So-Charming). This origonal Hans Christian Andersen story has been modernised as the famous disney-fied version, where the crux of the tragedy has been removed and replaced with catchy songs and unattainably amazing hair. Both of these things I'm not opposed to, but I felt this was a witty urbanised twist on the moment the mermaid's heart is broken. She is left to decide wether to sacrifice her love to save her own life, or to leave the earth without a trace and dissolve as soulless sea foam... as if she never existed.  #beenthereluv
